	After reading "The Pacific", by Hugh Ambrose, I was inspired to do this painting which depicts an SBD Dauntless of Bombing Six diving on a Japanese carrier during the Battle of Midway. Midway was considered the pivitol battle in the Pacific war, and I entitled this "America Strikes Back!" 12" x 24" acrylic on canvas panel. $800	Captain Joe Foss of VMF-121 Shot down 26 Japanese aircraft during 63 days of combat on Guadalcanal in 1942, and a further 3 in a later tour, becoming the first American to exceed the WWI total of Eddie Rickenbacker. Foss was awarded the Medal of Honor. His aircraft was the Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat. 18" x 24" acrylic on hardboard. $800	F/A-18A on carrier deck.
